Tradesman Tea is a full-bodied black tea blended with Assam and Ceylon. As Tradesman is steeped, the leaves open to the size of a dime, giving a bold malty, slightly fruity morning lift.
The black tea base is a combination of Assam and Ceylon (named from the regions they are grown). The tea leaves are grown and dried to remain whole. As you steep the tea in hot water, you will be able to view the leaves opening back up to release the tea flavors.
The tea leaves come from plantations in Sri Lanka and India.
Fun fact, per the Tea Association of the USA, in 2021, Americans consumed almost 85 billion servings of tea, or more than 3.9 billion gallons. About 84% of all tea consumed was black tea.
Tradesman is a caffeine tea that is excellent hot or iced.
ICED: The Tradesman blend is lovely southern iced on a hot summer day or served with brunch. Use 1/4 cup of the tea blend steeped in 1 gallon of boiling water for 4 minutes. Add sweetener to taste and cool in refrigerator. (If steeped over 4 minutes the tea will burn and have a bitter taste – if this happens, add a ¼ teaspoon baking soda. Adding the baking soda will also clear up the tea if it becomes cloudy.
Hot: The warm malty flavors make this an excellent hot tea. Use 1 teaspoon of Tradesman tea in 1 cup of boiling water for 4 minutes. Add sweetener and milk. (If steeped over 4 minutes the tea will burn and have a bitter taste. You can steep the same tea bag several times during one sitting.
Great News! Per the Tea Association of the USA, Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world next to water, and can be found in almost 80% of all U.S. households. It is the only beverage commonly served hot or iced, anytime, anywhere, for any occasion. On any given day, over 159 million Americans are drinking tea.
