ICED Rosie Tea

Rosie Tea is a blend of hibiscus, rose hips, honey bush and orange.  The blend is fruity, floral and caffeine free.

Rosie is our most popular tea blend sold – Customer favorite!   You can drink Rosie hot, iced, blended as a cocktail or mocktail, and as a popsicle for children.

The color steeps as a deep red and is a little tart – but with a little sugar becomes a whole different lighter taste.  We love to add a slice of orange to iced or hot Rosie.  Many folks at the farmers markets tell me they use the Rosie Tea as the base for their cranberry sauce.  Wow!

Rosehips grow wild along the island and coast of Maine.  They are also used in jams, pies, syrups, and elixirs.

Fun fact, Herbal "tea" is not technically tea, because it is not made from the Camellia Sinensis plant. An herbal tea is a called a "tisane" or "infusion." Herbal teas are made from any combination of fruits, herbs, flowers, and spices and are naturally caffeine-free.

ICED:  The Rosie blend is lovely iced on a hot summer day or used as the base for a cocktail or mocktail.  Use 1 sachet tea bag steeped in 1 gallon of boiling water for at least 5 minutes – but I like to steep Rosie tea for an hour or more. It has time to really bring out all the deep flavors. Add sweetener to taste and cool in refrigerator.

COLD BREW ICED:  Take 1 gallon of warm water and add 1 sachet Rosie Tea.  Place in the fridge overnight.  Take out the tea and add sweetener.  Ready to drink!

ROSIE LEMONADE:  Make the iced tea about (either ICED or COLD Brew), add sweetener and fridge.  After cold, add lemonade to taste.  We usually add a quart of lemonade to a gallon of Rosie and ¾ cup sugar.  Oh so yummy!!  Beautiful for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner drink.

Great News!  Per the Tea Association of the USA, Tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world next to water, and can be found in almost 80% of all U.S. households. It is the only beverage commonly served hot or iced, anytime, anywhere, for any occasion. On any given day, over 159 million Americans are drinking tea.
