Herbal - Red Organic Rooibos
Rooibos Tea is naturally caffeine free and has an earthy and sweet flavor. It’s lovely in the evenings as an after-dinner tea.
Rooibos leaves are harvested from bush plants in South Africa. It is sometimes referred to as red tea, bush tea or redbush tea.
Fun fact, Herbal "tea" is not technically tea, because it is not made from the Camellia Sinensis plant. An herbal tea is a called a "tisane" or "infusion." Herbal teas are made from any combination of fruits, herbs, flowers, and spices and are naturally caffeine-free.
Hot: Use 1 teaspoon of Rooibos in 1 cup of boiling water for 4-5 minutes. You can add sweetener but we do not because the natural sweeteners in this tea make it sweet in the steeping process. You can steep the same tea bag several times during one sitting.
ICED: Rooibos Tea is lovely iced on a hot summer day or used as the base for a cocktail or mocktail. Use ¼ cup tea blend steeped in 1 gallon of boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Add sweetener to taste and cool in refrigerator.
COLD BREW ICED: Take 1 gallon of warm water and add ¼ cup Tea. Place in the fridge overnight. Take out the tea and add sweetener to taste. Ready to drink!
